Blockchain technology company Obook Holdings Inc. announced its successful listing on the NASDAQ and that it had secured three new Money Transmitter Licenses, bringing its funding operations to forty U.S. states. In the EU, it is upgrading its VASP license in Poland to a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license under the MiCA framework and applying for an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license. It currently has a Electronic Payment Intermediary Service Provider license in Japan and is applying for additional fiat and stablecoin licenses.
So far, we have SWIFT announcing it is developing a platform for its member banks to settle transactions in stablecoin, Western Union announcing a pilot stablecoin-based settlement system and Obook Holdings gaining licenses to transmit stablecoins throughout most of the United States and Europe, as well as Japan. Stablecoin is coming to the U. S. faster than even I expected.
